Boys Cross Country is a "Limited Participation" sport. The T-Bolts home course is located both on campus, and at the Tinley Park Rec. Center off 171st and 80th Ave. Athletes will train both on campus, and run off-campus as well. Training schedules and locations will be shared with all athletes who join the team. All levels will meet at 8:00 AM on Monday, August 7th outside of the North Boys PE Locker Room. Come dressed and ready to run!! All are welcome to join us!! - Football is a "No Cut" sport. Tryouts for positions on the football team, for all levels (freshman, sophomore and varsity) will begin August 7th at 3 pm. All athletes must have a valid sports physical uploaded to laserfiche, completed registration, black spikes, mouthpiece, gym shoes, and water. TFF! Boys Golf Boys Golf is a "Cut" sport. The first day of tryouts will be on Monday, August 7th. Varsity will meet at Odyssey Country Club driving range at 9 am. JV will meet in the front of Andrew by the pond at 3:30pm for a bus to White Mountain driving range. Please bring your own set of clubs and $15 for greens fees/range balls. Be sure to register at the Andrew 8to18 website and have a current up-to-date physical downloaded into laserfiche before the first day of tryouts. - Girls Golf Girls Golf is a cut sport. Girls with any golf experience are invited to try out for Varsity. Girls with little or no experience are invited to try out for Junior Varsity. Tryouts for both levels are Monday, August 7th. Girls trying out for Varsity will meet at Odyssey Country Club at 1:15pm. Boys Soccer is a "Cut" sport. Juniors and Seniors must report to the Stadium Turf on August 7th at 8:00am for Varsity Tryouts. - Girls Swim and Dive is a "Limited" sport. All swimmers/divers will begin on Monday, August 7th. We will meet at the pool at 8am for a brief informational meeting followed by practice. - Girls Tennis is a "Cut" sport. Freshman and Sophomores will meet on August 7th at 9-10:30 and Juniors and Seniors 10:30-12 for tryouts on the tennis courts. If you have questions about the 2023 season, contact Coach Maratea.
Girls Volleyball is a "Cut" sport. Girls volleyball tryouts will be on August 7th for all levels from 8:30-10:30 a.m. in the south gym (2nd floor up stairs from main south entrance). Sideline Cheer and Poms Sideline cheer and poms are both "cut sports" and tryouts for these fall activities are held the previous spring in May. - Winter 22-23
Boys Basketball is a "Cut" sport. Tryouts begin on November 6th. All athletes need to be registered on 8to18 and have an updated physical uploaded to laserfiche. Girls Basketball is a "Cut" sport. Tryouts will begin on Oct. 30th. All athletes need to be registered on 8to18 and have an updated physical downloaded into laserfiche. If you have questions about the upcoming winter season, contact Coach Matz.
Boys Bowling is a "Cut" sport. Tryouts for the season will be October 23rd at Thunder Bowl. School transportation will be provided. Travel Waivers will only be granted to those Juniors and Seniors who sign and return the waiver before October 23rd. All interested students must successfully register on 8to18, and will then be emailed additional tryout information by our head coach, Coach Lobes.
- Girls Bowling Is a "Cut" sport. Tryouts for the season will start on November 13th. Transportation will be proivded for those who need it to Thunderbowl. Only those that have the travel request form completed will be able to use their own transportation. If you have additional questions please contact Coach Gibson.
- Cheer is a "Cut" sport. Tryouts for Competition Cheerleading Season is on October 23rd in the West Gym. All grade levels are eligible to try out for the competition season. There will be two levels: Junior Varsity and Varsity. This tryout is a “cut” sport and each level will have 2-4 alternates named. Team placements will take place on day 2 of tryouts with a coach/athlete conference. More information about the upcoming winter season will be available as we get closer to tryouts. - Dance is a "Cut" sport. Tryouts for the winter competitive team will be October 23rd in the dance studio. If you have questions about the upcoming winter season please contact Coach Mattix.
- Wrestling & Girls Wrestling: is a "Non-Cut" sport. Season starts on November 6th with interested athletes for our developmental and girls program starting at 3:45 in the wrestling room. Varsity tryout/practices will begin at 5:30 p.m. If you have questions, contact Coach Kowalczuk.
- Boys Swim/Dive is a "Non-Cut" sport. Tryouts/first day will be November 20th in the pool after school in the pool bleachers, followed by practice in the pool. If you have questions, contact Coach Muchna.
Girls Gymnastics is a "Cut" sport. Girls Gymnastics is a consolidated D230 program consisting of athletes from Sandburg, Stagg, and Andrew and is a cut sport. Tryouts for the program take place on November 6th at 3:30 in the gymnastics gym, located in the west gym, just west of the wrestling room. If you have any questions, contact Coach Hack.
- Spring Season
Boys Gymnastics: Boys Gymnastics is a consolidated D230 program consisting of athletes from Sandburg, Stagg, and Andrew and is a non-cut sport. Practice starts after school on Feb. 13th in the gymnastics gym on the 2nd floor across from the wrestling balcony . Boys Water Polo: All Levels - 1st day of practice is February 27th from 5:30-7:30PM. We will be getting in the water on the first day. Information on suits will be provided the first day of practice. - Baseball is a "Cut" sport. We will have a baseball tryout meeting on Tuesday, February 21st after school to pass out the tryout schedule. Baseball tryouts will start on Monday, February 27th. - Softball is a "Cut" sport. Softball tryouts will begin on Monday, February 27th for ALL levels. Badminton is a "Cut" sport. Badminton will begin on Monday, Feb. 27th after school in the south gym located on the second floor up from the main south entrance stairwell. All athletes must have an active physical and be registered on 8-to-18. Freshman will be in the south gym from 3:15 to 5:30 the 27th - March 1st, and varsity and JV will be in the west gym at 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on the 27th and 28th. - Boys Track & Field is a "Non-Cut" sport. Track & Field has a "winter" and "spring" season, Freshman through Seniors will start practice on January 23rd at 3:15-5:00 in the NW 100 Hallway (by the FACS classrooms). Sprint/thrower tryouts will be January 23-27 or after you complete your winter sport. Our distance program does not have cuts. We have cuts for sprints/throws due to lack of space and numbers. Boys Lacrosse is a "Cut" sport. Boys Lacrosse, like Girls Lacrosse, is a consolidated D230 program consisting of athletes from Stagg, Sandburg, and Andrew. All levels will begin tryouts on February 27th on the stadium turf. If weather does not permit we will be inside. Specific times will be based on if we are outside or inside. Please make sure you have an updated physical and that you are registered on Andrew's 8 to 18 as well as your home school's 8 to 18 if you are a Sandburg or Stagg student.
